Finishing Touches Terms and Conditions
Definitions and Law
Finishing Touches will be referred to as The Owner.
'We', 'Us' and 'Our' means the Supplier of the Goods.
'You', 'Your' or 'Hirer' means the Hirer of the Goods.
'Goods' means all goods hired by us to you.
The 'Booking Deposit' is the deposit required in advance to confirm a booking and
is non-refundable.
The 'Security Deposit' is the deposit required in advance to cover any damages &
loss of goods and shall be returned to you within 30 days of goods being returned
and inspected as criteria set out below.
Terms and Conditions
Goods at all times remain the property of Finishing Touches.
The Hirer is responsible for the safe use of all items hired. It is the hirer's
responsibility to ensure that the hired items are fully covered by either their own
insurance or the venues insurance with regard to public liability risks. Finishing
Touches will not be liable with respect to any claims made by any person for the
death, personal injury or damage caused by or in conjunction with the hired items
from Finishing Touches including fitting services.
Deposits / Payment
As discussed above a 'booking deposit' and a 'security deposit' are required in
advance to secure a booking along with completion of our booking form. A standard
charge of £50 booking deposit and £50 security deposit shall be required. This may
be reduced for smaller orders. We have no minimum order requirement.
Please note that all dates will only be provisionally booked until the deposits have
been paid or we receive payment in full (if less than 8 weeks before the event)
Your booking is guaranteed as soon as we receive your completed booking form and
deposit.
We require payment in full no less than 8 weeks before the event. Should this criteria
not be met then we will assume that our services are no longer required and your order
shall be cancelled. You shall be notified via email should this happen.
A confirmation email shall be sent upon receiving full payment.
Any booking made less than 8 weeks before the event will be required to make full
payment to secure the date including a security deposit of £50.
The security deposit, minus any deductions for loss or damage will be returned to
you within 30days of the Hire Date. An invoice shall be sent outlining any amount of
damages and costs exceeding the security deposit.
Should you be charged for any damages you may request to see the damaged items
within 14 days of being informed. Should we not hear from you within the 14 days then
the damaged items will be disposed of.
Charges exceeding the security deposit for loss or damages should be received by us
no later than 30 days after you have been informed of these damages.
We will accept 'normal soiling' of goods i.e. wine stains, normal food stains, shoe marks
etc but damage caused by the goods being mistreated i.e. dragged on the floor, burn
marks, rips and tears, pen marks etc which generally mean the item would be rendered
unusable, shall be charged as follows;
Chair Covers - £5 each
Sashes - £2 each
Accessories - £1 each
Bay Trees - £25 each
Lights for Trees - £5 each
Therefore missing or damaged items will be charged at the full replacement value above
and we will not accept any substitute replacements.
Delivery / Collection
Full Set Up Option
If you have chosen the Full Set up Option then Finishing Touches is responsible for the
Delivery, Set up and Collection of all goods within a 10 mile radius.
The delivery, set up and collection dates and times should be agreed in advance with
the hirer and recorded on the booking form. It is the hirer’s responsibility to discuss these
dates and times with the venue to ensure they are also in agreement.
It is expected that the chair covers and sashes are removed from the chairs by the hirer
or venue at the end of the event and placed in the bags provided ready for collection. The
Full Set up Option does not include removal of chair covers from chairs unless agreed in
advance. Please ensure that all tied chair sashes are untied before being placed in the
bags and returned otherwise this could be classed as damages to the sashes.
All accessories should also be returned in the packaging provided.
It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that there is access to the venue at the
agreed time on the booking form and that the chairs being covers on the day are laid
out as required and ready for fitting by Finishing Touches. Finishing Touches Full Set
Option does not including positioning chairs / tables at the venue due to health and
safety.
D.I.Y Option
Finishing Touches will deliver and collect goods within a 10 mile radius free of charge. If the
hirer prefers to collect/return goods themselves this is also acceptable as long as it is pre-planned.
The delivery and collection addresses should be recorded on the booking form along with agreed
dates and times. You are allowed the goods for a maximum of 3 days. We will deliver the goods
the day before the event and collect the day after the event unless otherwise agreed.
The hirer shall inspect the goods and sign a collection note to agree they have received the correct
goods.
The goods should be available for collection or returned in the bags provided on the agreed date.
Please ensure that all tied chair sashes are untied before being placed in the bags and returned
otherwise this could be classed as damages to the sashes.
All accessories should also be returned in the packaging provided.
Laundering is included in the price of your hired chair covers.
All deliveries / collections outside of the 10mile radius will be charged at 50p per mile.
Charges will be made at a rate of £50 per day if over the agreed collection date due to loss of the
owner’s potential earnings for each day these are delayed.
Sizing and Colours
It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure the chairs at the venue are suitable for our chair covers
and notify us of any changes. We will happily meet the hirer at the venue to ensure correct fitting
and provide you with a sizing guide. Alternatively once a deposit has been paid we can provide a
sample cover for 7 days to ensure correct fitting at our discretion. If at the time of set up we
discover the chairs are not the ones as confirmed by the hirer this may result in your ordered
goods not fitting. In this instance refunds will not be available.
It is also the responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are happy with their chosen sash colour.
Finishing Touches will not be held responsible if sash colours do not match the colour scheme.
We will happily meet the hirer with our sash sample book and even temporarily loan you a sash
in your chosen colour for 7 days once the deposit has been paid and at our discretion. No changes
to sash colours can be made less than 8 weeks before the event.
Cancellations
Should you wish to cancel your order with Finishing Touches then it must be done so in writing
and we must acknowledge receipt of this.
If the hirer cancels this booking 8 weeks or more before the event then any monies paid minus the
booking deposit (£50) shall be refunded.
If a booking is cancelled less than 8 weeks before the event then any monies paid minus the
booking deposit (£50) and security deposit (£50) shall be refunded.
If a booking is cancelled less than 4 weeks before the event then no refund shall be given and full
payment required.
Postponing options can be discussed if needed.
Adjustments
Ideally final numbers should be confirmed a minimum of 8 weeks prior to the event. Any
increase in numbers before or after this date will be charged according and are subject to
availability however every effort will be made to accommodate these. If numbers are increased a
new invoice will be sent for these and payment should be received no later than 14 days before
the event.
Late Bookings
We do accept late bookings however full payment will be required if less than 8 weeks before the
event to secure the date and will be subject to availability. No refund will be available if then
cancelled.
Please check carefully that all the details are correct on the booking form. If any details are
incorrect please inform Finishing Touches as soon as possible so we can change our records
accordingly.
Please confirm you have read and agree our Terms and Conditions by signing and dating your
booking form.
Payment of your deposit or signature on the booking form (if seen in person) is deemed as having
read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.
